Sats/Satoshis

The smallest unit of bitcoin, equal to 0.00000001 BTC, so one bitcoin is made up of 100 million sats. They’re named after Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. Sats are commonly used to price small payments, Lightning transactions, and ecash.
