A computer running Bitcoin software that keeps a copy of the blockchain, validates transactions and blocks against the network’s rules, and relays them to other nodes. Running your own node lets you verify transactions yourself instead of trusting a third party. For Fedimint, a node is something a guardian runs to help secure funds in a federation.
