Lightning Network (Lightning)

A layer-2 payment network built on top of Bitcoin that enables fast, low-fee transactions by routing payments through channels off the main blockchain. Only channel openings and closings are recorded on-chain. Transactions on Lightning are more private than transactions on Bitcoin, particularly when using a non-custodial Lightning wallet.
