Important Update: Migrate Your G-Bot Federations

In 2025, Fedi launched G-Bot as a way to start a Fedimint federation within a simple, chat-based interface. This served its purpose and accelerated Fedimint’s adoption, but the infrastructure itself needed to support a more distributed framework over the long term.

Therefore, we are working with federations to migrate users to this new, more advanced federation type.

This means that G-Bot federations will be closing and you need to migrate your funds.

Your Lead Guardian should have given you notice by now. In any event, here are the migration instructions along with the important dates:

• November 30 - December 4th, 2026. G-Bot federations that are not migrating will close. These are the last days for their members to move their money out and will be different depending on your federations.

• December 15, 2026. The remaining G-Bot federations, the ones migrating, will close. This is the last day to withdraw from any G-Bot federation.

Again, your Lead Guardian should have already communicated the closure date, so check the notice in your Fedi app.

After your federation closes, any funds left inside are no longer recoverable by you. Don’t wait until the last day.
